Founded in 2006, Kotoil is a company operating in the Oil & Mining and Energy sector. Created by a group of visionaries and individual investors, Kotoil was born with the purpose of driving the development of the energy sector, with national principles and values and a strategic vision focused on the future.
The shareholder structure, composed exclusively of private Angolan entities, reinforces our commitment to the economic and sustainable growth of the country, as well as to the enhancement of national human and business capital.
Since our foundation, we have been committed to creating value in a responsible, safe and sustainable manner, taking into account good environmental, social and governance practices, operating with integrity and respecting people, the environment and the communities in the areas where we operate.
This evolution reflects our leadership and expertise in operating large projects in the energy sector, thereby consolidating our prominent position in the oil market.
Throughout our history, in addition to our experience in oil exploration and production, we have also been committed to the energy transition. With a focus on innovation, we are investing heavily in the development of renewable energies, with the implementation of Angola's largest and most technologically advanced Electromobility Project.

Our History
2006
Kotoil Foundation
Kotoil is founded with Angolan capital, and a vision to lead the oil sector in Angola.
2008
Kotoil becomes a member of the contractor group in Block 2-85, with a 9.1% stake.
