This document establishes the Privacy Policy applicable to the use of the Website, in compliance with the Personal Data Protection Law in force in the Republic of Angola (Law No. 22/11 of 17 June, hereinafter referred to as LPD), and was issued or revised on the date indicated below.

 

We may update this Privacy Policy whenever necessary. You should review this privacy policy periodically to stay informed of any changes. Such changes will take effect immediately upon publication. By continuing to use the Kotoil Website, you agree to the Privacy Policy, as amended from time to time, in an informed, clear and express manner.

 

Kotoil, committed to protecting the personal data of its Users, employees and visitors to its website, establishes this Privacy Policy to inform you how personal data is collected, used, stored and protected.

The data provided in the relationship established with Kotoil is processed in accordance with the legislation in force, namely:

The personal data provided by the User will be processed and stored electronically for use by Kotoil.

Kotoil collects and processes only the data that is strictly necessary, which is only requested when related to the purpose in question, and for legitimate purposes, such as:

• Responding appropriately and in a targeted manner to requests for information;

• Communicating with the owners of personal data on relevant matters, according to the characteristics of their data and their preferences;

• To comply with business purposes, namely statistical data to improve the performance of the various services provided;

• To comply with human resources management requirements;

• To comply with legal or regulatory requirements on which the validity of certificates, namely training courses, depends.

DATA SHARING

Kotoil may transmit the data to anyone with whom it is directly or indirectly connected, ensuring the confidentiality of the data and compliance with the privacy policy implemented in accordance with the legislation in force.

Kotoil may also transmit data to entities that provide services to it, ensuring the confidentiality of such data and compliance with the privacy policy implemented in accordance with applicable legal requirements.

In accordance with current legislation, Kotoil may transmit users' personal data in compliance with its legal obligations and/or court orders, under its legal duties to cooperate with public institutions and authorities.

RECORDING OF TELEPHONE CALLS

Telephone contacts between the User and Kotoil may be recorded, with the User's prior information and consent, as proof of information or instructions transmitted and to improve the services offered and to control their quality. Call recordings will be kept for the periods provided for by the legislation in force.

 

DATA COMMUNICATION

The User's Personal Data may be processed by duly authorised third parties in the event that Kotoil provides a service or supplies a product on behalf of and in representation of that third party.

For the purposes described above and in compliance with current legislation, your data may be transmitted to judicial, administrative, supervisory or regulatory authorities that lawfully carry out data collection or fraud prevention and combating activities.

DATA COLLECTION FROM OTHER SOURCES

Kotoil may collect other information about the User that is relevant to the evaluation of the User with a view to entering into any contractual relationship, from public bodies, industry associations or specialised companies, to supplement or confirm the information provided by the User, for the purpose of managing the pre-contractual and contractual relationship between the parties.

 

RIGHTS OF THE DATA SUBJECT

Kotoil guarantees all rights of data subjects in relation to the processing of their data at any time, and any changes must be made in writing to the Data Controller.

Data subjects also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent authorities regarding the exercise of their rights and the protection of their personal data.

 

SECURITY MEASURES

Kotoil guarantees adequate levels of security and protection of the personal data of data subjects. To this end, it adopts various security measures to protect personal data against loss, dissemination, alteration, unauthorised processing or access, as well as against any other form of unlawful processing.

 

DATA RETENTION

Kotoil complies with the legal rules on personal data retention periods and may retain such data:

• Up to ten years after the end of the contractual relationship;

• For as long as obligations arising from the contractual relationship remain;

• For as long as Kotoil's right can be enforced.

Kotoil retains personal data for the period necessary and for as long as the legitimate purposes for which the data is processed remain, in compliance with the legal, regulatory and contractual obligations to which it is subject.
